Lieke Venema, founder

Hiya! I have been obsessed with Dachshunds since I my parents brought Tilda home, a long haired, black-and-tan, 24 lbs Dachshund. When I was 16, back in 2015, I launched this website but I have been on the world wide web with my girl since 2013. Her personal Instagram account grew into Dachshunds United. I am very proud to have created a community of amazing dachshund lovers from all over the world.

Tilda Astrid Venema, mastermind

I am the original superstar of Dachshunds United, it all began with me! I was born in May 2013 and welcomed home in August 2013. I inspired my mum, Lieke, to start this platform as I am quite a hustler myself. I may be the naughtiest Dachshund alive, but I have yet to meet anyone who does not love me. My royal status allows me to be very picky who I play with, but I always end up barking up the wrong tree (i.e. a dog 5 times my size). Woof!

Sjakie Venema, the annoying little brother

I am the newest addition to the family! I was adopted in September 2021 at seven years old. Not much is known about my early years, but I grew up to be an extremely gentle little guy. I am partly blind and deaf but this does not stop me from being a little mischievous at times. In that regard, Tilda and I are the perfect match. She just does not realise that yet!
