Macy’s biggest quality could have caused her downfall… but everything changed when she met her mom.
Let me explain: Macy was given up by her first owner because, according to him, she wanted to snuggle too much! Clearly, this person knew nothing about dogs and even less about dachshunds. Thankfully for Macy, her human-to-be sister found the “ad” for Macy online and immediately thought of her mom, Cathy. Cathy had just lost her 14 year old Maltese. She needed a dog in her life, and Macy needed a mom – a match made in heaven!
Macy and Cathy have now been living a happy life in Springfield, VA (USA) together for three years.
When Cathy is at work, Macy keeps company to her grandma who had a stroke. Her grandma loves sharing her food with Macy, and guess what: Macy doesnt mind that all!
Macy, as said before, also likes snuggling and watching TV with her mom. Her favourite toys are rope toys, but she does not like the squeaky ones at all!
Macy is such a good girl and an incredible snuggler that she is now AKC trained, a Good Citizen and Therapy Dog : she sits on people’s lap and let them pet her and snuggle in order to help them with their stress disorders. It is very helpful to them. If only Macy’s first owner had paid attention, he would have seen her true potential! Proof that a dog is never “too snuggly”!
Macy’s best friend and main squeeze is Memphis, her human sister Chrissie’s dog (her cousin, basically! Oh la la!). Memphis is a mini dachshund and he often stays with Macy and Cathy since his mommy Chrissie travels a lot. Macy and Memphis always have a good time playing together – and of course, snuggling!
