Sign up for the Christmas Card Exchange 2021!

Sign up for our seventh annual Christmas Card Exchange for Dachshund lovers!

I almost cannot believe it: seven years, seven Dachshunds United Christmas Card Exchanges! This edition will be like any other. Send Christmas cards to Dachshund lovers from all over the world to spread the Holiday spirit – doxie style! The goal of our card exchanges is to bring the Dachshund community closer together. Hundreds of people and Dachshunds have participated in our previous card exchanges and we have created a strong community of recurring participants. To view some photos of the previous years, click here and here.

Like last year, I am setting an earlier sign-up deadline than previous years. Last year, this was solely because of COVID-19 (mail was taking exceptionally long). This year, I will simply be needing more time to set everything up, as I am now working full-time and this is still a one-man operation.

Everyone who loves the Dachshund breed is welcome to participate! You do not need to own a Dachshund in order to join: we have several participants every year who used to own Dachshunds or wish to own one someday.

There are seven simple rules of the game. PLEASE READ THEM CAREFULLY.

  1. Fill in the form at the bottom of this page on or before November 17 (Wednesday).
    • Your information will never be used for commercial purposes. I will treat your information as if it were my own.
    • By filling in the form, you agree to your information being shared with the pen pals you are paired up with.
  2. According to your choice, you will receive your chosen number of pen pals on or before December 1 (Wednesday).
    • So, if you select “5” as the number of pen pals, you will send five cards and should receive five cards (if everyone holds up their end to the bargain, of course).
    • Please do not start inquiring about your pen pals before December 1, because my answer will be: I am working on it 🙂
    • If you have not received your addresses by December 2, please inform me.
  3. You are expected to have sent all your cards on or before December 12 (Sunday). This means you will have at least 12 days to get your cards in order.
    • If you will miss/have missed the deadline, please let me know so I can keep my administration up to date 🙂
  4. Only US citizens can opt to only send cards domestically.
  5. You must never share the personal information of your pen pals with others; this is strictly prohibited. This may be the easiest but is the most important rule of the game. Because without it, there can be no game.
  6. You are allowed to send accompanying small gifts with your cards, as long as they are appropriate and not too costly. However, sending gifts is NOT expected of participants at all. We all have different budgets and time on our hands, please be mindful of that.
  7. If you need to drop out of the card exchange, please let me know as soon as possible so I have the opportunity to rearrange some pen pals. We do not want to leave people empty-handed during the Holiday season.

CLOSED. You can no longer sign up. If you have any questions, please send an email to cardexchange@dachshundsunited.com.

Thanks for signing up! Make sure to use #DUChristmasCardExchange if you post something on your social media profiles! If you would have any questions or comments or would like to cancel your participation, please send an email to cardexchange@dachshundsunited.com.
